Come and enjoy a tranquil weekend on the farm surrounded by the beautiful Langeberg Mountains. The farm is located 3 km outside Swellendam, below the Langeberg mountain range. Activities available include fresh water fishing on a farm dam, hiking trails, mountain biking on local farm roads and trails, bird watching and many more.

Appelsbosch Guest House is a four-bedroom cottage sleeping up to seven guests, with two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The lounge is comfortable and leads onto a small veranda. Experience a working farm and let the kids enjoy the farm animals.

Swellendam is approximately two hours' drive from Cape Town on the N2. The town is unique as a tourist destination offering historical sites such as the Drostdy Museum and The Bontebok Park, in addition to the beautiful mountain views and walks, as well as numerous other and varied tourist attractions.

We stayed at Appelsbosch Guest House for 2 nights, I wish I had booked for longer. It's the ideal place if you want to get away from the fast pace of everyday life and just enjoy the view and the nature around you. I will definitely be going back some time for another visit.

We enjoyed a warm welcome and the thoughtfulness of a loaf of home-made bread with butter and jam left for us in the cottage, and a half litre of milk. There was ample coffee and tea along with firefighters and matches for our use - a far cry from some guest cottages. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The beds were made up with lovely crisp linen and there were two towels and a facecloth per person. We really enjoyed sitting out at our braai fire and watching a troop of baboons feeding in the distance along with four antelope. A real farm cottage stay - we would happily have stayed another night or two.
