Bear's Cottage is situated in Gonubie, a popular holiday destination near East London. Gonubie is a popular fishing destination and well known for the annual Surfer's Marathon as well as the Half Iron Man Competition.

We are situated right next to the golf course. Bear's Cottage offers two fully equipped self-catering units with spectacular sea views and guests can enjoy a relaxing drink on the private deck overlooking the sea. It is the ideal venue to stay for holidays or a business trip. We also offer breakfast on request. The river and swimming beach are ideal for families with children.

Bear's cottage was ideal for our short family stay. we needed nothing extra and the hosts were warm and helpful. Very enjoyable and comfortable.... we will easily go back to stay again.



Very nice clean and comfortable stay after doing the Strandloper Hike. 

Smell of the Ocean by

Would have loved to spend more time at Bear's. Our one night stay was refreshing. Waking up to the sound of waves and bird calls was relaxing and the extra factor of having the smell of the ocean.
