Surprise by

Why on earth would one want to go to Ladysmith for a weekend? Well what a surprise The Bokmakierie was so pleasant we spend most of our time there The establishment is amazing very tasefully decorated and immaculate. We are going again - Tip Don't eat out have the chef prepare dinner for you

What a wonderful experience. Firstly I must say that Ladysmith is one of the cleanest towns I have seen in a long time. Arriving at Bokmakierie we were welcomed by a welcome board with our names on and our room number. Inside our keys were available immediately. Room was beautiful and fully equipped with a bar fridge that was fully stocked. Breakfast the next morning before we left was excellent and the staff very friendly. This is a yes for sure for anyone looking for a stayover on their way to Natal.

It was worth every cent. The staff were friendly. For the first time I went to a place where I enjoyed my breakfast. You see being a person that does not eat eggs and pork, many places then run out of options for me for a hot breakfast. The best they always do is cereals, fruits and yoghurt. I enjoyed my stay and would go back there any time. Lastly this is one of those best kept secrets, people like former President Thabo Mbeki have stayed there too and more than once. With all these top people one would think its expensive but guess what, it was very affordable. Thanks

A great place to stay by

Had a lovely stay! Clean room with all amenities including kitchenette. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Pity about the hot and dry weather as the garden setting must otherwise be magnificent.
Highly recommended.

Ek het die verblyf baie geniet. Ek moes die oggend vroeg ry en hulle het spesiale moeite gedoen om te sorg dat iemand op is en dat die hek oop is. Sal weer daar gaan bly as ek in die omgewing is.

My mother & sister being allocated to room number 1 by fate by

We arrived very late, at 01h15 to be precise. The guard was not aware of our arrival. We then were allowed to pick keys for our rooms. I took 1 & 2! I gave 1 to my mother. Wow what a room! Majestic! She was over the moon :-) Thank you Bokmakierie :-)
