Brackendene Lodge started with modest beginnings in 1988. The lodge first consisted of one humble, homely house. We noticed a gap in the market, for an affordable bed and breakfast, with self-catering services.

Brackendene Lodge consists of a large building with 20 en-suite bedrooms, conveniently located in the city centre of Gaborone. We are a stone's throw away from Main mall and African Mall, Intercape bus stop and several embassies for example the South African, Zambian and French Embassies to name a few. Banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, a taxi rank - all the needs of a wandering traveller or ambitious business person are close at hand.

The lodge features DStv, Wi-Fi, and air-conditioned rooms. The has security services, open 24 hours and meals to order for lunch and supper.

Brackendene Lodge is well known the world over and guests come from every continent. Excellent service, cleanliness, central location and value for money give strength to our popularity.

We have won several international awards for excellent service, over the years.

Did not honor reservation paid through Safari Now by

I had a confirmed 2 night reservation paid in advance through Safari Now. On arrival I was told my payment would cover only one night. Even though I was able to show my Safari Now receipt that stated 2 nights paid in full, I was charged much more. In addition, the Air Con in my original room did not work and it took two attempts to get another room. The staff treated all guests as if they were a nuisance and any request for meal service, taxi etc was greeted with sighs and grumbling.

Air Safari to Botswana and Vic Falls by

Took 14 guests there for two nights on route to the Okavango. I was very disappointed and shocked at what we found. No lounge area no descent dining area no proper kitchen. Very filthy carpets and passages. Shocking state of bathrooms covered in Black mold. Old and dilapidated furniture and fittings.

Breakfast consisted of cereals' and a choice of only eggs on white bread cooked on a little pan on a gas stove. Only once we arrived we found that this establishment  has only a one star rating.
