Brandkaros offers comfortable accommodation in the desert, 500m from the Orange River (a leisurely 20 min walk).

We offer 6 clean, comfortably furnished chalets (sleeps 4) and camping facilities with electrical points and clean ablutions. Enjoy a braai at our lapa or at your chalet/camp site, cool off in the pool and go for a canoe on the Orange River for some bird watching.

The nearest town is Alexander Bay, 27 km away. Enjoy the beach close by or do some bird watching. Alexander Bay forms an ideal base for 4x4 enthusiasts looking for new adventures. The Kgalagardi Transfrontier Park, close to Alexander Bay, offers several 4x4 trails. The Leeudril is an enjoyable shorter trail, which passes by a waterhole and lookout point. The Nossob Eco Trail is a four-day 4x4 trail near Alexander Bay that traverses the incredible desert landscape of the Kahahari.

Experience the shores of the Orange River and the desert of Namibia all in one go.
