Bulembu Country Lodge lies at the foot of Mount Emlembe, the highest mountain in Swaziland. The town is surrounded by lush green hills and eucalyptus forests, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of this region.
The guest rooms have double beds and en-suite bathrooms and some rooms are family rooms and can sleep up to four people, while the self-catering houses can accommodate up to 10 guests in each house, some of the smaller self catering houses have only one bathroom.
The restaurant offers set menu and light meals like pizza, toasted sandwiches and salads.The lodge is surrounded by many nature reserves including Songimvelo Nature Reserve, Barberton Nature Reserve and Makhonjwa Nature Reserve.
Kruger National Park is also within driving distance.The lodge provides a rich cultural experience by offering guests the chance to become involved in volunteering projects aimed at improving the town and its people. It is also an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of this peaceful and tranquil area.
Activities include Emlembe mountain hike, Malanda village tour, Bulembu Museum, pool table, table tennis, mountain bike rentals, . Please note that Bulembu lodge does not serve alcohol and braai facilities are for self catering houses only.
Important note: The road from Bulembu to Piggs Peak is an 18km rough dirt road, that deteriorates substantially especially in and after rainfall. Please call the Bulembu Lodge Reception for advice on road condition before you travel. The alternate tar road from South Africa via Barberton is in good condition and suitable for all vehicles, with beautiful views of the UNESCO World Heritage site route.
