Casa Jules is a wonderful hotel with eight bedrooms along the beach in central Vilanculos. The hotel has shared facilities with Zombie Cucumber which is situated next door. Being built in a park, the hotel is surrounded by lush hibiscus and coconut trees.

The hotel has six cosy bedrooms that can be either single or double rooms. Two bedrooms can sleep three people. Each of the rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a shower and leads onto a terrace with sun loungers. The rooms are equipped with fans. There are no self-catering facilities or a communal kitchen. A communal lounge and restaurant and bar can be used by guests. A swimming pool can also be found on the premises.

Our warm and welcoming staff are always ready to provide you with information regarding routes, prices of transport, excursions, activities and more. Bruno and Valérie, a friendly Belgian-French couple will bend over backwards to satisfy your needs and make your stay in Zombie Cucumber a happy and unforgettable one.

What an amazing, authentic and true Mozambique experience! Val and Bruno, the owners, were so lovely and their staff were just top class! They all made us feel right at home with their great service and amazing food! We'll definitely be back one day and recommend Casa Jules to anyone visiting Vilankulos!

Relaxing!! by

We stayed at Casa Jules for 6 days during July 2016. Casa Jules is neat and tidy. Rooms were spotless and very nicely appointed. The room looks out on the well cared for garden and is very comfortable. Because the rooms are situated higher than the restaurant and garden, they catch the breeze. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant, particularly attractive how it is set up around the pool. There is wireless at the pool area and it worked perfectly all the time. Valerie advised us on excursions we could do during our stay...Dhow trips, Diving, market tours etc. The restaurant serves good food and dining around the pool is very relaxing. The pizza is their signature dish...very delicious!!! There is a variety of main courses to chose from. We enjoyed the "Nutella" pancakes. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Whenever we needed a taxi or tuk tuk they arranged it. There was live local music on Wednesday night.
Casa Jules and Zombie Cucumber seems to cater to a broad spectrum of travelers. Zombie Cucumber is geared more for travelers looking for a back packers environment, however this is NOT a low end backpackers place, it is very neat and seems to appeal to the mature backpacker crowd.
