Coral Beach

Coral Beach comprises three privately owned self-catering houses in Barra, situated high on the dune overlooking the sparkling blue ocean which stretches endlessly across to the horizon and to the distant town of Tofo on the right.

During the winter months, the playful Humpback Whales fin past, close to the shoreline, blowing large frothy sprays of water as they frolic and play in the warm waters.

The accommodation at Coral Beach is provided in three self catering houses (all next to each other), each with four spacious bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, open plan kitchen/dining area and a large entertainment deck with those out-of-this-world sea views. The bedrooms are privately accessed via the undercover walkway which leads off the entertainment deck (they are not accessed from the kitchen/lounge area). Each deck has a small private splash pool to enjoy during the hot summer dahs.

The deserted beach is approximately 30-40 meters down the dune in front of the houses. Languid hours can be spent collecting colourful seashells and intricate and interesting chunks of coral, washed ashore from the many reefs in the area. Scuba divers from far and wide flock to the area to enjoy the vast array of sea life feeding off and sheltering in these pristine reefs.

Coral Beach is situated within close proximity to the numerous restaurants and beach bars in Barra and to the vibey little town of Tofo. Definitely worth a visit, (if you manage to lure yourself away from the fabulous Barra beaches). Tofo has a beautiful swimming beach and an interesting market stocked with vibrant sarongs, paintings, wooden curios and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
