9 Night Culture & Wildlife in Northeastern Namibia Package

Culture & Wildlife Experience in Northeastern Namibia is a 10-day tour which starts and ends in Windhoek in Namibia. It includes exploring AfriCat, Kaudom National Park, Popa Falls, and Caprivi.

The package includes all transport as per the itinerary's routing, accommodation on a shared basis, meals as specified in the itinerary, activities and park fees as specified in the itinerary, and mineral water.

The package excludes expenses of a personal nature, i.e. laundry, telephone expenses, gratuities and other personal purchases, all drinks, personal as well as medical and evacuation insurance, and any additional activities.

DAY 1:

Arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport where you will be met by your guide. Subsequent drive in a northerly direction via Okahandja to Okonjima Lodge, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibian wild cats.

One overnight stay at Okonjima Plains Camp or similar - dinner, bed & breakfast and includes activities.

DAY 2 and 3:

We are proceeding in a northerly direction via the Hoba Meteorite to Fiume Bush Lodge where you can have a glimpse into the lives of the ancient San people. You can expect the most informal and liberating learning experience about these people, their history, lifestyle and culture. You can look forward to a bush walk, the village life, the making of tools, jewellery and weapons. You will also learn how the San people start a fire, how and what to use as medicines and the different roles of men and women in the community.

Two overnight stays at Fiume Bush Camp - full board and includes a Bushmen activity.

DAY 4 and 5:

We are travelling further north via Rundu to the Popa Falls at Falls at Bagani. We visit one of the traditional Kavango villages before we continue to Mahango Lodge. Enjoy the scenery on a sundowner boat cruise on the Okavango River. We are going on game viewing excursions in the nearby Mahango National Park. Excellent game viewing, i.e. red lechwe, sable, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and the usual plains game as well as birding can be experienced.

DAY 6 and 7:

Today's destination is the beautiful Lianshulu Lodge which offers the opportunity to experience a wild and untouched island in the remote Kwando River. Here you bid farewell to your guide to continue the rest of your journey on services from the lodge. From Lianshulu you undertake game expeditions in open 4x4 vehicles in the Mudumu National Park. Game sightings in this river cradle could include vast herds of roaming elephant and buffalo, lions, hippos, leopards, sable, roan, lechwe and puku. There is outstanding birdwatching opportunities in this area in a variety of riverine, floodplain and grassland habitats. Boating, nature walks, picnics or infinite relaxation in the cool respite of Lianshulu Lodge are all possible.

DAY 8 and 9:

Today we cross the border to Botswana. Our destination is the Chobe Bush Lodge situated in Kasane directly on the border of Chobe National Park and within 150 metres from the Chobe River. Here you bid farewell to your NTT guide. Along with many big game species Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephants in Africa and the game drives and boat cruises here offer visitors the opportunity to witness this spectacle.

DAY 10:

An airport transfer will take you to Victoria Falls Airport to check-in to your flight.
