De Oude Kasteel is located in a quaint village named Riebeek Kasteel, nestling on the slopes of the Kasteelberg mountain.

This guest house consists of a restored victorian house and two cottages. The main house has two lounge areas, a fireplace, an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, and a lovely outdoor braai with a plunge pool. The cottages are equipped with a kitchen, a lounge, a fireplace a dining area and a private patio. There is also secure parking and beautiful garden with mountain views.

The houses are within walking distance to the village of Riebeek Kasteel where you can enjoy wine tasting, beer tasting, olive tasting, hiking, shopping and so much more.

A weekend enjoyed in the country by

We were grateful to be accommodated at the last minute due to a double booking. Our stay was pleasant enough at the newer premises next to the main house. The 3 modern bathrooms were a bonus. Snags were the front door which was very difficult to open and with heavy rain the ceiling in the one bedroom leaked, probably due to a blocked gutter. Suggestions; a welcome booklet with detail of the accommodation and what the village can offer.Extra blankets for winter stays.

A stay before road race by

Everything was clean but definately needs a makeover. I've stayed at three places b4 in Riebeeck Kasteel for less with tv and breakfast.

Having our dogs withus by

We liked the cottage and fond it clean and comfortable but would have preferred an enclosed toilet.
