Doro Nawas is a luxury tented camp situated in the remote Damaraland region of Namibia, offering easy access to iconic destinations such as Twyfelfontein, Burn Mountain and Petrified Forest. Guests staying at Doro Nawas can also view desert-adapted wildlife such as desert elephants.
16 natural walled units combine a clever mix of local stone and canvas walls with wood and glass, shaded by a thatch roof, while the living area combines indoor and outdoor dining areas, weather permitting. Features also include an open fireplace, a lap pool adjacent to the main areas, a bar, and a curio shop. This is a wonderful area for enjoying the dramatic Damaraland landscape.
There are no large concentrations however springbok, ostrich, oryx and predators such as cheetah and bat-eared fox occur. The Doro Nawas Conservancy is a shareholder in the camp, as such they benefit directly from employment and an equity stake in the venture.
