Ecabazini Zulu Homestead is situated in a beautiful valley on the shores of the Albert Falls Dam. It offer visitors an overnight stay in a truly authentic Zulu homestead.
There are five traditional huts which sleep up to a maximum of four people each. As stated, this is truly authentic with no electricity, and cooking is done over fires. Lights are provided by paraffin lamps and whilst the huts are not en-suite, proper individual modern ablutions are provided with hot showers. All linen and towels are provided for guests' convenience.
Visitors can enjoy a rich cultural experience while staying at Ecabazini. Guests are offered various demonstrations of day-to-day life, such as handling traditional cattle, daily chores within the homestead, Zulu dancing and traditional food; visitors are given a fascinating insight into the culture and traditions of the Zulu people.
Please note that there is a self-catering option at R200 per person per night, with minimum stay of two nights. For an additional R150 we will include a shorter cultural experience on a single evening.
