DAMFELA ECOLODGE - MIDRAND BEWERTUNGEN (75 %) A wonderful experience by Siya Nondumo, South Africa 14 September 2009 My three nights accommodation at Damfela was a wonderful experience,one i have promised to repeat. Errol was very accommodating as i was due to arrive very late in the night, and was handy when it came to directions to get to the Lodge,by night.
the room i stayed in was like one straight out of a dream,thatch roof,four-poster-like drapes over the bed,all the amenities of a tv,radio,a fridge and tea and coffee were available at my disposal.
the area is quiet and peaceful,one might forget that one is within minutes of Midrand,which makes Damfela Eco-Lodge a great place to stay at for long lazy quiet and relaxing getaways.

They are the friendliest bunch of people i have ever met they really dont make you feel like a guest. I would say i felt more like a part of the family rather than a boarding stranger. Errol and Emily you guys are great and have a great place and i have already raved about it to all my friends and colleagues. So be sure you will be getting quite a few referrals from KZN. Would absolutely stay there again if I was in midrand Disappointed by Tanya Van Den Berg 06 March 2018 The photos on the website is not what it's like at all. The front door was broken, the passage to the room where I stayed covered with inappropriate paintings of naked woman. The room has 5 light switches of which only 2 worked. The cupboard area really dirty and the inside of the cupboards dirty, full of rubbish as in broken electronic equipment and the smell of damp really bad. The shower head half blocked, the shower drain definitely also blocked and the taps tough to open or close. The room has not seen a duster for at least a month. Lots more to say but as a regular traveller (and with that I mean I travel every week and during the month I travel to Natal, Northern Cape, Gauteng and Eastern Cape) this place will not see me again.
