Eikelaan Farm is a complete break from reality and a great place for recharging your batteries and clearing the mind. The silence, peace and tranquillity should leave you feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated. We are situated 5 km from the historic town of Tulbagh and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Cape Town, off the R46. The farm is 200 hectares in size and is surrounded by the Witzenberg and Winterhoek mountain ranges.Eikelaan offers three well-equipped and clean self-catering cottages, overlooking the wheat lands and facing north. The cottages have indoor fireplaces and are equipped with air-conditioning. Apart from enjoying the tranquillity and the beautiful scenery on the farm, the cottages have large patios to enjoy sun downers and barbecues while watching the breathtaking views and sunsets. We offer walks to enjoy the fynbos, bird life, amazing sunsets across the Tulbagh Valley as well as great stargazing. Eikelaan is a working farm, farming with wine, olives, red Angus cattle, wheat and oats. There is an abundance of activities on the farm for the young and old. Bird watching is also highly recommended. For children, the cattle have proven to be a great attraction, especially during the winter months when the new calves arrive. Feeding the ducks at the dam is also a great pastime. Guests are welcome to bring their bicycles along for safe cycling on the farm.

Excellent stay, we enjoyed it.

The view by

Loved the view from the veranda, cottage very spacious, comfortable, electric blanket, aircon, fireplace bonus in winter. Loved dishes being washed daily when we went out. Loved open spaces for children, felt safe for children to run freely. Swimming pool and dam enclosed. Only improvement we can recommend is cleaning out all drawers and cupboards, as we had to clean it before use, as well as some of the kitchen equipment.

A relaxing few days by

The accommodation was clean and well maintained. Fanie and Lynette were welcoming and very pleasant people. They made the effort to allow guests to simply wander around the farm and see all the activities that were taking place.

Good but disappointing by

Second time at Eikelaan. Our 1st stay was great, we have recommended it to all our friends. However we were very disappointed this time around. Our braai looked like it hadn't been emptied in months, had to empty it myself which wasnt pleasant. No soap or milk which I would have expected for the price. Very disappointing all-round.

What a surprise and value for money. Had a great stay even though it was only for one night. Enjoyed it thoroughly!!

We stayed at Obiqua cottage. A lovely cottage with beautiful views. So relaxed and cosy with the indoor fireplace on those cold nights. My highlight was seeing how excited and happy my 22 month old baby was too see the sheep and geese every morning just a few metres away from the cottage. Would love to experience the farm during summer. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful scenery by

Really enjoyed the position, very peaceful and relaxing. The bedside lampshades in the main room looked like they need replacing and the cottage could use a coat of paint on the inside. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay, it was lovely to see the farm geese on the pond and we saw plenty of other birds too.

Tranquil country getaway by

Perfect setting on a working organic farm. Beautiful sunsets, lots of open space and everything you could need for a peaceful weekend away from the city.

Best weekend away by

I had the best time at Eikelaan. Friendly service it was absolutely amazing, clean, more than what I had expected. Beautiful and peaceful.
