Situated within two hours' drive of Johannesburg, Emanzini Country Resort rests quietly outside the small town of Vrede. Set in the rolling grasslands of the Eastern Free State, at the confluence of two 'spruits', the 49-year-old dam is the creator of a wetland that now hosts a large variety of bird life with the Langberg mountain range in the background.
Accommodation offered consists of a variety of log chalets and camping and caravan sites, all dotted along the waterfront or nestled under pristine pine trees. We offer some stands with heavy shading and some that are open for warm sunny days. Two ablution facilities are located on either side of the resort, with both hot and cold showers and baths.
Recreation includes an abundant bird life, quiet fishing along the reeds, a sports bar, the London Pie restaurant, a half Olympic-size swimming pool with adjoining baby pool, horses and a variety of water sports.
