Forty Winks Farm Stays' peaceful environment, situated on Colsport Farm, is in the heart of Natals' Kamberg trout fishing Natal Midlands, and provides luxury accommodation in two semi-detached self-catering cottages (1 & 2), and a free standing Honeymoon cottage 3. Cottages 1 & 2 are available as individual units each sleeping four people or as one unit sleeping eight people. the Honeymoon cottage 3 sleeps 2.Forty Winks is situated on tar 9 kms from Rosetta, with easy access to the famous Midlands Meander route as well as The Kamberg, Highmoor, and Giants Castle nature reserves..Each cottage (1 & 2) has two bedrooms, a full family bathroom, additional toilet, and an open-plan living room. The living area has a dining room and lounge with a built in fireplace, comfortable furniture and under-floor heating throughout. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances, including a dishwasher. All cottages have a flat screen TV with limited DSTV channels & free WiFi. Bedroom 1 of cottages 1 & 2 contains a queen double bed, bedroom 2 has two single beds. Braai facilities are available.The full length front veranda overlooks our two trout dams, the central Drakensberg Mountains of the Giants Castle area and the Springrove Dam. For extended stays the cottages can be serviced for an additional fee.The Honeymoon cottage 3 has a large open plan Bedroom/Lounge area, merging into the kitchen area, a separate full Bathroom and a sun room to admire the view and free roaming game. The glass sided slow combustion stove fills the cottage with warmth. The seperate bathroom has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is a King size bed with lace curtain sides for perfect intimacy. the view from the honeymoon cottage is of the central Giants Castle area of the Drakensberg, extending over our two trout dams and the Springrove Dam. The kitchen is clinically white, and all your needs have been anticipated with modern equipment including a dishwasher. Guests are welcome to fish for trout with ethical and acceptable fly fishing tackle only, and on a catch and release basis. there is no charge for fishing for guests. We do not accept day visitors to ensure our guests privacy and exclusive use of the facilities. Minimum High clearance or preferably a 4x4 vehicle is needed to drive to the dams. there is a picnic area at the trout dams, Dams are closed to fishing from 1 December to 28 February due to heat stress on any trout caught.Game on the farm include Blesbok, Zebra, Black wildebeest, red hartebeest, oribi and jackal. regret no pets are allowed as zebra will kick any animal resembling a jackal (eg: a dog) to death.All cottages are self catering."Come, draw ye aside and rest awhile"- you wont regret it!
