Ghanzi Trail Blazers is a recreated San Bushman village offering amenities that Western cultures are accustomed to. Guests have the opportunity through the activities offered to have a glimpse of San Bushman culture, which is fast disappearing, providing San Bushman with sustainable employment.
Leisure activities at Ghanzi Trail Blazers include genuine San Bushmen experiences such as guided walks, village visits and traditional dancing, fishing for bream in the Kalahari, horse-riding for experienced riders, and swimming in an old quarry.
Accommodation at Ghanzi Trail Blazers is offered in campsites, rustic traditional-grass huts, and chalets. The campsites feature communal ablution facilities with showers heated by a donkey. The huts each contain two stretchers with mattresses and mosquito nets, and also make use of the camping ablution facility.
Other features include an on-site bar, kitchen and office. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, including traditional African meals, can be provided by prior arrangement, and transfers are available in an old quarry truck from Ghanzi to Khoostoo camp.
