At Great Migration Camps, we have drawn inspiration from the pioneering safari days of old to recreate an experience that gets you right into the very heart of the incredible bio-diversity that exists there in the Serengeti.Set against the backdrop of the great wildebeest migration, our completely mobile, self-sufficient and environmentally-friendly camp can travel anywhere in the Serengeti depending on the time of year and the stage and location of the migration, giving you a front row set to one of Mother Nature's greatest events.

In line with our leave-no-trace philosophy, GMC mobile camp is completely self-sufficient with the flexibility to relocate to any location, we have carefully considered everything you need and left out anything you don't.

Great Migration Camps mobile focuses on the experience of being in the bush and encountering wildlife. The important stuff is done really well: first-class guiding with comprehensive knowledge of the terrain, geology, history, geography, environment and birds and wildlife, reliable vehicles & remote and intimate camping spots. Your everyday basic requirements (good coffee, hot showers and tasty wholesome food cooked over an open fire) all add up to truly unforgettable experiences. We have cold beers and early departures.

With a combined experience of over 40 years in the African bush and knowledge of the wildlife, geography, geology and history of the Serengeti and surrounding areas, join us for a truly unforgettable safari in one of the world's premier places to view and experience African wildlife. We have a very mobile camp that follows the micro movements of the annual great migration across the Serengeti, Tanzania.

Food and Beverage
Great Migration Camps Mobile provides 3 meals per day. Main course for dinners usually comprise of meat barbequed over an open fire, a starch or grain & vegetables and/or salad. Bread is baked daily. We provide clean filtered water and there is a cash bar for alcoholic beverages and sodas.

Facilities
In addition to your private tents there is a Bedouin-style stretch tent which provides shade from the African sun and if needs be, protection from the elements. Underneath are tables for dining, complete with camp chairs which can be moved around the camp fire for sundowners and fireside stories of an evening.

Moving Around
Supporting the camp throughout your safari is a rugged all-terrain, 4×4 off-road vehicle that transports everything you need during your time in the bush. Pulling a unique, custom designed and built trailer complete with solar-powered refrigeration and freezer space, mobile kitchen and gas hobs for cooking, we also have a camp oven to compliment the food we freshly prepare and cook for you every evening on an open fire.

Location
GMC mobile uses public and special (private) camp sites in the National Parks. This truly mobile safari experience follows the wildebeest all year round as the camp is small and flexible enough to move in a day.
