Grootvlei Cottage is a luxurious, renovated self-catering farm cottage comfortably equipped with a large fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and two gorgeous bedrooms with white bedding and towels. Activities include bird watching, hiking, fishing, and the viewing of blesbok.

The farm is situated 3 km from Caledon, which owes its origins to the hot water springs on the slopes of the Klein Swartberg Mountains. Within 30 minutes' drive from Grootvlei Cottage, guests can visit the charming towns of Hermanus, Botrivier and Greyton.

We had a good weekend! Very peaceful away from the busy town life! Only problem there are lots of flies and moths. Other than that it was a lovely weekend.

Enjoyed our stay. Quiet and away from hustle & bustle. Has all amneties one could use for a week-end away.

The cottage is lovely and well equipped, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It's well situated for day trips - near to Greyton, Botriver and Hermanus.

We really liked the view of the place. There were wheat fields all around and you can see many stars at night.
