Hazeldene was one of the first houses built in Colesberg, with a very rich history of the Anglo Boer War. Colesberg is a typical Karoo town with almost no traffic.

The six comfortable and spacious en-suite rooms have private entrances and patios.

The rooms are serviced daily, with all linen and towels provided. Besides the magazines in each room, there are folders with interesting information about the history of Colesberg and the Anglo Boer War's impact on the community. All the rooms are fitted with Air-conditioner for the warm summer day and electrical blanket iss provided for those cold winter nights.

With the convenience of secure off-street parking and the Bordeaux restaurant and coffee shop, it is the ideal overnight stop for you. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the Bordeaux Restaurant with a TV and DStv access.

Neat and friendly. Regrettably restaurant on premises was disappointing - Karoo lamb and other food ordered by family was not how it is described in menu. Sleepover fine, but would not recommend restaurant that belongs to the guest house owner.

Hazeldene is a good option for a stopover, its spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rooms are airconditioned with cold bar fridges and you can eat at the restaurant (when open). It's a little squeezed to fit 5 guests into some of the flats with only one bathroom but they gladly let us have 2 rooms on request. Some rooms are on top of ine another and separated by thin walls. Even so it is a quiet stay in town and pleasantly off the highway.

Awesome dinner experience! by

Dinner is always a very special occasion. The homemade food is outstanding. The personal engagement with guests by the owners make it exceptional. I love the TV in the room - especially staying over during the World Cup Soccer. A highly recommended guesthouse!
