At Heritage House we offer you a quiet and peaceful stay in tranquil surroundings. We are an ideal stopover point between Cape Town and the east coast or as a base for a leisurely exploration of this lovely part of the garden route. Set in a beautiful garden in the oldest street in Riversdale, the historic Cape longhouse was built in 1859 as the residence of the first magistrate of the town. It is currently being lovingly restored.
Overlooking the reedy Vette River, the establishment has stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains, including the Sleeping Beauty Mountains. With a riding school on one side and a horse farm on the other we have a country atmosphere while the town centre is just a short walk away.
We have two cosy cottages and two rooms in the historical main house available for your stay. All units are fully self-catering and tea, coffee, milk and breakfast cereals are provided. All units have heaters for our cooler months and fans for the warmer months.
Electric blankets are provided, stretcher beds and camp cot available, braai facilities are available, TV with SABC channels and we are pet friendly.
Your hosts Brian and Robyn Learmonth wait to welcome you to our lovely home.
