Hibberdene Home Away has two to four-bedroom holiday homes located in Hibberdene and Pennington on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. Some of the lovely, spacious home boasts sea views and they are approximately 1 km walk from the beach.

The self-catering homes consist lovely bedrooms and bathroom. The well-equipped kitchen is open plan and the comfortable lounge. The living area offers lovely garden views and there is a separate dining room as well as an outside patio to accommodate the braai for those balmy al fresco evenings. The garden is lovely and of course is an added bonus during the very hot months.

Enjoy a fantastic beach holiday where you have a choice of beaches which are safe for swimming, snorkelling, diving and fishing. The Hibberdene Lagoon is also worth a visit during your stay for some exciting water activities. Come and unwind in this relaxed coastal town known for its favourable weather, with the forest and sea at your feet.

Lovely Stay by

My family and I, spent a few days here Forest Walk and it was a totally beautiful and different experience. The sweet sounds of birds in the trees wake you in the mornings(no need for an alarm clock?) the fresh air is so fresh and refreshing?.and there is the soothing sound of the gentle brook?this is really living in the midst of nature. Christine made us really feel at home, with her bubbly nature and she also shared love for recycling stuff. She showed us some really interesting stuff that she had created. What to take: Lots of board games to play in the evenings?so put the TV off and play some board games. (It is really something we don't get to do often) Thank-you Christine, for the your hospitality for the wonderful time we spent there. I'm commenting on Umdoni Place Pennington as I had to go through this Hibberdene Home Away to find accommodation. Firstly I would like to say my service from safari in the beginning was great but the guy letting the place out was terrible! He had his facts wrong and when I corrected him he threatened to take the accommodation away from me two days before I was supposed to check in! Now my stay was shorter and I did not qualify for the free extra day! Then he sends me a quote being R500.00 more then the quote from safari - when asked I get a whole different story and still to this day I don't understand. Secondly the unit was dirty, it was raining in when I told the manager he said he will have a look at it and never came back to me! My bags were soaked in water! The roaches were literally living there with us! The braai really you can't even call that a braai it had a hole in the roaster! Pathetic service I will never book there again! And lastly the agent tells me its 400m from the beach its more than 1km away! False advertising. Really, I'm disappointed! Never again! If I could rate it zero I would!
