Set within the seaside suburb of Voelklip in Hermanus, Home Grown offers an idyllic getaway to guests. It is a great option for couples or small groups looking for overnight accommodation in this scenic part of the Western Cape. We have one family unit available. Unit sleeps 4 (one queen size bed, one set of bunk beds).Unit has two en suite bathrooms, small kitchenette (no stove), braai facilities, swimming pool, DSTV and free Wifi.Guests can spend their days exploring the seemingly unspoilt coastline by visiting one of the nearby beaches. The attractions of the town centre are also not too far away. Guests can then return to the house to enjoy a dip in the swimming pool before relaxing with a braai.

Pleasant basic accommodation for a midweek break by

Jenny, the owner , is very welcoming and has tried to add a few touches to make stay more comfortable (hotel sized shampoo/lotion, starter packs of tea/coffee/sugar, washing up facilities). The pool is also greatly appreciated in the hot weather.
Excellent proximity to beaches.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very warm and we would have suffered terribly had we not happened to have brought our own fans with us.
We also found the bed sheets poor quality adding to the night time sweat factor.

We enjoyed our stay at Home Grown and Jenny was a friendly host.  Home Grown was easy to find and is situated in a nice suburb where you can easily walk down to the lovely cliff path.  We hope to return one day.





Will not recommend to anyone. The pool is covered in algae but they tell you that the water is clean. The coffee sachets expiry date was June 2016. The milk sachets expiry date was June 2015. It's clear that the owners are just interested in making money rather than their guests.
This establishment must be closed.



Lovely host and private location. Accommodation clean but run down.
