Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve is located in an untouched wilderness of the peaceful Southern Cederberg Mountains, in the Western Cape. The reserve is renowned for its scenic beauty and dramatic rock formations typical of the Cederberg. The signature accommodation options offer unique ?cave' suites, beautifully integrated with the sandstone rock formations, or spacious ?hut' suites, resembling the traditional dwellings inhabited by the clans of the area many years ago. For a truly remarkable experience, the beautiful Outcrop Open-Air Room allows for an entire night under the stars, without compromise on comfort, as you drift off with just the covers between you and the heavens above. Kagga Kamma offers experiences and facilities, scenery, absolute tranquility and accommodation in a true wilderness environment.

KAGGA KAMMA NATURSCHUTZGEBIET BEWERTUNGEN (72 %) Tranquility at journey's end by Jeff Heenan-davies, United Kingdom 30 December 2006 After 40km on a dirt road you're thinking: 'This place had better be worth it.' Don't worry; it is. While the game spotting may be nothing to write home about, the scenery more than makes up for it and the amiable guides know their stuff. If you're not an early riser, skip the morning drive and go in the evening. The sundowner experience on the escarpment is not to be missed. Dinner under the stars in the boma is magical; watching the sky run a sequence of enchanting blues into nightfall while the rocks around turn from crepuscular gold obelisks to brooding silhouettes. This is a peaceful, friendly place and I recommend it to those seeking to break their holiday routine with a few tranquil days away from the bustling tourist hotspots. Excellent stay by Didier Neyt, Belgium 17 January 2007 We had an excellent stay at Kagga Kamma. The panoramic views are spectacular, the service is outstanding and the quad drive thrilling. If you come to Kagga Kamma to spot a lot of game you may be dissapointed as game is not abundant and in many cases very well camouflaged in the area. The information you get when visiting the bushmen paintings is surprising and quite revealing.
Not to forget, there's an excellent choice of wines to go with the lapa braai. Fantastic Get away by Wilma Salida, South Africa 21 July 2008 Kagga Kamma is an exceptionally well run establishment - the staff were fantastic and took care of our every needs. The views on the guided tours were exceptional and well worth it - we will definitely recommend it and cannot wait to go back... Thank you all so much!!! A nice little getaway by Subash Lalloo, South Africa 10 June 2013 I took my girlfriend away for a short weekend break to celebrate her birthday. We loved our accommodations: functional, cozy, and in a setting rarely found. Made from artificial rock to blend in with the natural landscape and rock formations.
The service during our stay was first class; all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our needs were attended to. The food was great and we especially liked the fact there were no long lines and preparation time was minimal.
Unfortunately, we felt that there were two couples with very unruly children who spoilt our "getaway" experience. We were looking forward to a quiet, peaceful break away from the noise and stresses of the city. These parents did very little to rein their children in and so for this reason we felt we could not give our experience the full five stars.
