Kamelruhe Gästehaus & CampingGochas, Hardap, Namibia Gästehaus ab R 400 (Familieneinheiten ab R 900) | R 400 |
In the 1800s the German Schutztruppe had an outpost where Gochas is today. On the site where Kamelruhe Guest House & Camping stands today, were the soldier and officer barracks and stables for their camels to rest and be fed before they continued on their patrol of the Kalahari and Botswana dessert region.
The guest house is situated in Gochas on the Auob riverbanks, overlooking the dry riverbed. We have five double luxury rooms, all en-suite and air-conditioned.
We also have a TV lounge to watch your favourite DStv channel or just read a book. There is a clear swimming pool, a big lapa with braai facilities and a beautiful bar where most of our catering and meals are served. We serve a full breakfast and also have a restaurant where we prepare lunches and dinners.
We cater for special occasions such as weddings, conferences or alternative functions. Nature drives and dune dinners for groups bigger than seven can be arranged with the most beautiful sunsets in the Kalahari.
Game drives can be booked at a lodge only 6 km away, with 13 different game species and beautiful surrounding dunes. If you are interested in flying to Gochas, there is a big airstrip 6 km away from the guest house, where pick-ups can be arranged.
