Koos se Tonteldoos offers comfortable overnight accommodation situated in Mokopane, previously known as Potgietersrus. This is the ideal place for large group bookings.

There are a large variety of rooms and units to choose from, all with antique furniture and secure parking available. We also have a beautiful antique shop where we sell, restore and make lovely furniture. There is a lovely braai area for all guests.

Mokopane is predominantly a mining and agricultural centre, with several nature reserves in the vicinity. The Mokopane area is one of South Africa's richest agricultural areas producing wheat, cotton, beef, maize, peanuts and citrus fruits. The Arend Dieperink Museum has a fine cultural-historical collection and in the district, the Makapansgat Caves are notable for their fossils.

WoW Jacobus het ons met opearms verwelkom. Ons het verkeerde fasiliteit geboek, met ons 2 maande oue babatjie. Jacobus het met 'n glimlag vir ons gehelp en geruil. Baie dankie vir alles. Die fasiliteite is skoon, netjies en in werkende kondisie!!! Baie dankie Jacobus en span vir julle flukse diens!!

After a long day on the road, this was a welcome relief. Very basic with no frills attached, but clean. comfortable with all the necessary requirements. A good stop over venue with value for money.

Worst Stay ever!!! by

Can't believe I made this mistake by booking this accommodation! If you want back problems, rather sleep in your vehicle!

We were greeted on arrival by Koos. He explained the setup. We were not in the Tonteldoos but somewhere else. So thus this review does not apply to the Tonteldoos. The lounge furniture was very low to the ground and therefor very uncomfortable. The rest was very comfortable.

Koos is extremely accommodating and I will definitely stay there again if I am ever in the area again.

For the purpose of our visit the place was perfect. Koos was on call to help with any queries.Rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean and serviced. Great value for money.
