Laughter Cottage is a renovated fisherman's cottage in the coastal town of Shelley Point.

The cottage consists of three bedrooms, two of which are furnished with a double bed and the other, a children's room, with four single beds and a TV. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the other two share the use of a full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge as well as a dishwasher and laundry facilities such as a washing machine and a tumble-dryer is also available. The open-plan lounge is comfortably furnished and is equipped with a TV with DStv. Guests can relax on the patio and make use of the outdoor braai area or just relax in the small garden. Parking is available in the double garage.

Shelley Bay offers shallow, safe swimming water for children, superb sailing and fishing opportunities and world-class surfing at spots known as ?heaven and hell'. Golfers can also play a round at the 9-hole golf course. Various nature reserves can also be visited in the area.

Wonderful time by

We had an awesome time while staying at Laughter cottage. We were pleasantly surprised by how well equipped, warm and spacious the house was. We spent our days walking along the shoreline and our nights braaing and chatting on the lovely balcony space with built in braai. Helena was incredibly helpful and friendly! I would definitely recommend Laughter cottage to others and am looking forward to another visit soon!

Living the life by the sea by

Overall we had a great stay and would go back. The living area was large and spacious. It in very close proximity to the beach. The local "wildlife" was a great surprise for my kids. With the amount of people that can stay at this establishment it really needs a bigger fridge and freezer.

Perfect Location by

Having previously spent a weekend at Laughter Cottage earlier in the year, we looked forward to our Christmas break with great anticipation. However while the location is superb & the accommodation comfortable (1 less bed in the loft would make movement easier) , we felt that the facilities were woefully inadequate. The cottage advertises that it sleeps 8, which it does, but it has a fridge that is so small it barely stocks food for 4! There is no freezer which made keeping food, ice etc for 6 people a challenge. Overall the cottage is a little tired but it's location is what makes this cottage worth staying in.

The on-suite shower was broken so it left us 7 people with 1shower, Glasses, braai grid filthy. We had to buy our own ,as well as glasses and rice strainer and blue chairs are dirty.

The quietness, calming atmosphere. The floor cover in kitchen and shade cover at braai area need some attention.
