Luangwa River Camp borders the world-renowned South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley. It is one of the world's last unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.
Unique locally crafted and hand-made décor, together with great attention to detail, has made Luangwa River Lodge quite unlike anything else currently in South Luangwa or Zambia. The lodge is elevated between one to three meters on wooden decks, affording great views to the park and river, while the infinity swimming pool is sunk into the deck on two levels with a waterfall adjoining the two pools - one for swimming and the other for seating.
The five brick and thatch Bush Suites are individually named and all feature unique decorative themes. Accommodation is provided in double or twin beds, with hot and cold running water, twin sinks, shower, and sunken baths large enough for two people.
All seating areas are elevated and open-plan, with a bar area as well as a dining and reading area. Activities at the lodge include game drives, guided walks, bush breakfasts and picnics, river safaris, and boat trips.
