Manor on the Bay is a 12-bedroom guest house situated on the beach of peaceful Gordon's Bay. Oregon floors, high ceilings, magnificent unsurpassed mountain and sea views add to the elegance of this 1862 manor. The mountain stream, swimming pool, oak and palm trees add to the tranquillity of the unspoiled garden.

Schalk and Hanél invite you to come and experience South African hospitality at the log fire in the Sir Alfred Beit lounge or on the patio overlooking the bay. All modern conveniences are available, as well as conference facilities for smaller groups.

Manor on the Bay is only 50m from the beach and 5 minutes' walk from lovely restaurants. We are located on the scenic Route 43 and have safe off-street parking. Breakfast included, is a health/cold food buffet plus hot English breakfast. The best in town.

What a lovely, tranquil home away from home!! We loved it!

Lovely place for a holiday in Western Cape by

We stayed at Manor on the Bay for 6 days with three children. Lovely fenced garden with small pool, just over the road to the beach, and also some restaurants on walking distance. Safe and clean. Good location for day trips to Cape town, Betty's Bay, wine gardens and many other places of interest. In 6 days we couldn't nearly visit all the places we would have liked to. And of course, the children was perfectly happy to play at the beach or in the pool. Would like to visit this place again!

We had a wonderful one night stay at Manor on the Bay recently.  The little extras, like complimentary sherry in your room, bath robes and filter coffee, were much appreciated.  The breakfast was excellent too.  Thank-you.
