Margate Place Guest House is a stone's throw from the beach and all beachfront amenities. We cater for business executives, tourists and holidaymakers, and offer different accommodation options for families. As one of the oldest and most well-known guest houses in Summerstrand, our high occupancy rate is proof of our success. Due to our excellent personal and friendly service, we were voted the most tourist friendly guest house in Port Elizabeth.

Each non-smoking guest unit is stylishly decorated and has a private barbecue courtyard, kitchenette, telephone, Wi-Fi Internet, DStv and private entrance. Our entertainment area offers a swimming pool and cosy pub, and we provide off-street lock-up parking with CCTV. A full buffet breakfast is served in our breakfast room.The price is R50.00 per person per day and breakfast can be arranged directly with us. Our price as listed is strictly Selfcatering. Guest units are serviced daily and we also offer a laundry service and fax facility. Whatever your reason for being in Port Elizabeth, we will do our best to make your visit a memorable one.

We are situated in a quiet street and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex. We are on the main bus route, close to the airport, McArthur Pools, Bay World Oceanarium, the university and a true links golf course on our doorstep. Well-known malaria free game reserves are within a one-hour drive from us.

Disappointed by

My family and I stayed for 3days, and I kept wondering if we were supposed to request for room service. When we checked out, there was no one available to assist us with the process, only to receive a call to be accused of drinking the wine from the fridge, when none of us drinks alcohol
