Matalatala Game Reserve lies in the heart of the bushveld and has wildlife on its doorstep. It is only 30 minutes from the Zambezi Drive in Pretoria and is ideal for those looking to relax.

The reserve consists of an authentic African thatched lodge and beautiful luxury suites. The suites are private and comfortable. They include fans, tea and coffee facilities and private patios. The lodge has various communal areas which promote a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The swimming pool is available to all.

Guests can enjoy the frequent visits of the resident zebras, giraffe, warthog, and kudu. The area is also great for long strolls and bicycle rides.

Peace and tranquility in nature by

Good weekend getaway. Comfortable with lovely sunset views. Went on a game drive too and saw game up close.

not so great by

Electricity when off Friday and when I called the response was rude though we were later assisted. The whole weekend we struggled with a fridge that was not working properly. The house was not properly cleaned...we just made the best of our weekend regardless....the place is not bad though it can do with some improvements!!! one of the Staff members Tshepo..was great he was the one assisting us better than whoever is at the end of the office numbers.....
