Situated only 10 km from Harare International Airport and 24 km from Harare City Centre, Mbizi Game Lodge offers a tranquil natural environment enjoyed by all. Mbizi Game Lodge is submerged in the harmony of the African bush. It is set on 1 000-acres of privately owned, tranquil land, full of mystery and offers self-contained cottages for the comfort of every visitor.
Mbizi Game Park and Lodges offers accommodation to suit every need. The beautifully thatched lodges, individually decorated in an ethnic flavour boast large, comfortable rooms, en-suite bathrooms and some have private patios. Main Lodge guests can enjoy being spoilt by us, with a wholesome four course dinners, a full English breakfasts and activities such as game drives, game walks, caveman painting walks, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, and horse riding.
There is also self-catering accommodation in six bush cottages. Each cottage consists of two bedrooms, a sleeping porch, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, as well as a braai area.
Game viewing is undoubtedly one of the most exciting activities under the African sun. There is simply nothing better than spending the day in the bush and in touch with nature's best. Mbizi provides the best wildlife sanctuary within reach of the city but still natural and untouched as it has always been for centuries. The game park boasts of large herd of zebra, giraffe, impala, eland, kudu and warthog. One can explore the game reserve either by 4x4, or on horseback, or simply take a stroll on foot. Day visitors are most welcome at Mbizi. They can either enjoy a meal in our tea garden or come with a picnic basket and have a braai down at the picnic spot where they have some braai stands available. You can also partake in the various activities on offer including game drives, game walks, caveman painting walks, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding and their wonderful boat cruise that takes you on a trip down the Ruwa River on the 25-seater ?River Ranger Cruiser', while you relax and take in the fresh breeze and back to the picnic spot.
