Mervilla is not only a stylish and perfectly located self-catering apartment in Gordons Bay, but the self-catering amenities provided have been carefully thought out to provide a comfortable stay that meets all expectations.

Mervilla has three separate bedrooms, which can sleep a total of four guests. Two additional sleeper couches are available in the lounge. Additional services include safe garage parking for your vehicle, full DStv and a DVD player, barbecue facilities, a fireplace and a solar heated pool.

The apartment is only a short walking distance from the beach and a seafront walk way to the touristy restaurants and bars. The apartment's exquisite decor is an experience, and was personally designed and fitted by the owner.

The cottage is nicely decorated and comfortable. However, as a self catering cottage there was no cutlery. We had 7 knives but no forks and had to eat everything with a spoon. There was also no washing up liquid provided ( as a traveler I don't travel with washing up liquid) and strongly feel that should have been provided. The property also has 3 roosters on it. Now if this was on a farm it is all good, however with the small space the roosters drove us insane. From 4 in the morning until 6 at night. I have very strong feelings against chickens now. The swimming pool was also next to the cottage which is great, however the owner's children used it everyday and made such a noise that we were forced to go seek a bar to wait for them to leave. Between the children and the chickens it is everything but a peaceful, relaxing stay. I will not return.



Awesome place it just need fumigation. The bed bugs fed themselves on us.
