Misty River is located in a quiet area in Eikenhof, in the south of Johannesburg. The lodge offers comfortable self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation in five bedrooms and one cottage. The accommodation is ideal for small families and couples looking for an escape from the busy city life.

The individually decorated rooms offer modern fittings and stained glass doors. The rooms have high-quality bedding and we provide fresh towels. Each room has air-conditioning and fans, and guests can enjoy electric blankets and heaters during the winter months. Each room has tea and coffee-making facilities with homemade rusks. Guests can enjoy a Continental breakfast, English breakfast or vegetarian breakfast in the farm-style restaurant.

Misty River also has a full library and swimming pool. The luxurious accommodation features a great function, wedding and conference venue. The lodge is located on part of the original Eikenhof Farm, founded in 1875. Guests can relax under the old oak trees and enjoy the country living. The Klip River is within walking distance for hiking and birdwatching.

Convenient accommodation when using the wedding venue by

Unfortunately not the best experiene. On arrival it took about 15min for them to find our booking. The 2nd time they entered our room uninvited we were informed there was a double booking. We moved to another room. We had to ask for towels and toiletpaper. Although there was coffee & tea, there was only 1 cup but no spoons.
