Modderkloof farm is situated at the foot of the Drakenstein Mountains near the Huguenot Tunnel on the N1. The working fruit farm produces guavas, plums, buchu and wine grapes. Grapes are delivered to Boland Wine Cellars. The building that we use for guests was the home of Cornel and Elize Grobbelaar (third generation Grobbelaars) which was renovated recently and divided to accommodate 3 self catering units. It is about 10 minutes drive from the town centre, local schools and hospitals. The main residence of the farm is on the same site as the guest apartments. Guests are welcome to use the swimming pool at the main residence or go for a walk higher up on the farm where one have a beautiful view of the valley, Paarl Mountain, the Taalmonument and on a cloudless day you will also see Table Mountain. Mountain bikes welcome! Guests can also play tennis on the available tennis court. Pack a picnic basket and find a spot anywhere on the farm to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of nature. We are members of the Drakenstein farm watch with a working alarm system in the guest areas. We are happy to arrange a tour of the farm for guests.
