There's tranquillity in the African Bush that creeps up unexpectedly and nestles in your soul. Maybe it is because nature is so close - the wildlife and the birds, the wind in the trees- or maybe it's just Africa and its rhythms.   Tucked away in Zambia, along the meandering banks of the mighty Zambezi River, you will find Mvuu Lodge, ?The Place of the Hippo?. We are perfectly situated 18 km from the Lower Zambezi National Park, in the Chiawa Game Management Area and right opposite Mana Pools.  We are privileged to be based in this pristine part of Zambia and we are delighted to share this solitude and scenic beauty with our guests.   Our luxury safari tents will evoke the romantic side of you while our self-catering tents and camping sites will offer you nature at its undisturbed best. Wild animals roam casually through our premises providing you with a truly unforgettable experience.   Dinner is served outdoors in the boma or on the viewing deck, where the roaring fire and nocturnal calls of the wild create the perfect, relaxing end to an exhilarating day.    We invite you to come and indulge in a true African experience and rejuvenate your soul.

Stay at Mvuu Lodge by

The environment was excellent, the luxury tent was good and very comfortable, but the gas geyser was not very good. The Lodge personnel were very good and helpful, We felt privileged to have been transported and guided by Troy, a real son of Africa and the Zambezi.

Wonderful location by

Very nice place with a wonderful location in the Zambezi river. Good attention, I recommend the boat trip, you'll watch a lot oh hippos, elephants and crocodiles!

Peaceful Hidden Gem by

Well worth the travel down a rather bumpy road. The camp sites are pristine and the restaurant and bar area are well stocked. A crystal clear pool with beautiful view - even when the weather is cold the kids will be in :) The out door showers were spectacular - hot, hot water! Do your self a favour, hire a boat for a spot of fishing or a trip into the Lower Zambezi National Park . Fantastic place to refresh and renew your spirits.

We camped at Mvuu Lodge. The campsite is spacious and each campsite has its own ablution and a very friendly attendant on hand. The camp mamagers were very attentive amd made sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The lodge facilities are great and the lodge is well maintained. Would love to go back!
