Ngalawa Beach Village is on a tropical island on the East Coast of Africa. We are a quaint, small hotel offering tranquillity and hospitality.Ngalawa is a 17 room property operated by a Canadian couple who live on the property. It has been open for a little over 6 years.
The room size is 32 square metres, including the balcony. The rooms have one over-sized king bed and one single bed. All the furniture has been made by local artisans. The bathrooms are en-suite with a shower as well as a bidet. Complimentary toiletries are also provided. All the suites are non smoking and have sea and pool views. The bedding is of a premium standard and bedroom slippers are provided. Rooms are further equipped with a ceiling fan, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, bottled water, pool towels, hair dryer, desk and chair, full-length and make-up mirror, reading lamp, emergency light, mosquito net, safe, iron, umbrella and luggage rack. The room is serviced daily and a laundry facility is available at an extra charge.We offer cuisine with an infusion of spices and all the fresh fruits and vegetables are organic. The seafood is always fresh. We can accommodate guest's dietary request for any allergies or if they are vegetarians. Our rates are on a full board basis including breakfast, 3 course set menu for lunch, and 4 course set menu for dinner. Bar bills are extra.We offer personalized services to our guests. We have friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are a lot of things to do on the island and we consult with our guests if they want to go on an excursion. Depending on the number of guests and their mood we bring in an occasional disco or live band to entertain them with a beach party. We are known to have amazing fashion shows at the discretion of the famous local designers.
We have long stretches of beach on either side of us, where the guests can enjoy long romantic walks or jogging. Our beach has no sea urchins or jellyfish. Zanzibar has a very rich history and a renowned Spice Island. It is also a World Heritage Site. The architecture is a mosaic of all cultures. Being an island born out of coral rock the town of Zanzibar is called Stone Town. The buildings were built using the coral rock and they have stood the test of time. We are 31km from the airport. Ngalawa is a place to relax, unwind, enjoy excellent food and make new friends.
