Ngerende Island Loge

Ngerende Island Lodge was designed and built, and is managed to be a different exclusive luxury experience. It is not just the luxury but also what comes with it that makes this lodge so different. The staff, food, quality of accommodation and many other smaller touches all come together to make Ngerende a lodge with a difference.

The main lodge has a dining room that extends onto the verandah overlooking the Mara River and the nearby hippo pod. We have a lovely infinity swimming pool overlooking one of the largest hippo pods in Northern Mara, and a spa offering therapeutic treatments.

All seven suites offer stunning views of the Mara River. Each elegant tent has stylishly polished mahogany flooring and is extremely spacious. There is an open-plan sleeping and living area complete with a fireplace; and a bathroom providing both a massage shower and an open-air bath. Each individual suite benefits from having a personal butler who will respond to the every need of his guests.

Comfortable seating is provided both in the living area and on the terrace so that the true tranquility of the lodge can be best appreciated. The distance between each suite has been maximised to reduce any risk of disturbance which may be caused by other guests.

There is an abundance of wildlife that is protected by the conservation ranch and an exclusive project to rear white rhino so that they can take their place back in the Mara society to which they belong.
