Ocean View und FynbosVictoria Bay, Western Cape, South Africa Selbstversorgung (Familieneinheiten ab R 2,400) | R 2,400 |
In the heart of the Cape Garden Route, on the edge of the ocean and amidst glorious fynbos, you find this luxurious secluded holiday home. Situated in a private nature reserve within 20 minutes of George Airport, it is the ideal spot to relax, watch the whales, walk the many nature trails or just do nothing.
With breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every room in the house and a haven to relax in peace and tranquility, this spacious, luxuriously furnished house has four double bedrooms of which two are en-suite with separate baths and showers. The fourth bedroom also has a bunk bed for children. In the main bedroom en-suite bathroom, the bath overlooks the ocean and you can watch the whales while you soak.
All bedrooms are equipped with built-in cupboards and high-quality bed and bathroom linen. There is a third bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality utensils and all facilities, including a combo washing machine and dryer. There is a gas fireplace for those cold winter months.
The open-plan entertainment and kitchen area invites light and views while you lie and read on the corner couch, dine outside on the patio or, dare we say it, watch the weekend DStv sport on the flat-screen television. The extendable dining and patio tables can accommodate all those drop-in dinner guests. There is no telephone but good cellphone and 3G reception.
You would need a vehicle to get to the house and allow you to move around in the area. The drive from the airport takes you along the highway and onto a strip-paved road into the reserve.Driving within the 20 km speed limit will secure your safe arrival.
Being a sensitive environment and timber house, there are unfortunately also some rules. These include no pets or animals, no loud music or noise, no open fires or unprotected flames - use brickettes to braai in the Weber - no picking of flowers or removing of plants.
Being a protected nature reserve, there is always something exquisite to see, from rare fynbos species to shy Knysna loerie and bushbuck or busy insects, all part of our unique and protected ecosystem. A 10-minute walk away you will find zebra, bontebok and other game roaming freely in the reserve, while down in the valley you may find some monkeys.
The reserve has its own private beach, but there are numerous swimming ponds in the cliffs in front of the house. There are numerous excellent fishing spots. A short drive away is the glorious Victoria Bay with its clean beach and famous surfer waves.
