The Old Mills is a renovated historic holiday home, set on the bank of the Kowie River, overlooking the river mouth. Built in 1850, this flour mill, has been beautifully restored to lovely self-catering house and cottage.
Accommodation comprises a self-catering house and cottage, that are rented together, and can accommodate up to a maximum of ten guests in six bedrooms.
The main house consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, TV room, lounge area, and a downstairs bathroom with a bath and a shower. Three of the bedrooms are located in the main house, and one of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms share an interleading bathroom.
The cottage has a kitchen, lounge and dining area, as well as three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, and there is also a second bathroom.
One of only a handful of houses on the river that overlooks the river mouth, the Old Mill is rich in history with its high ceilings, original beams and yellowwood staircase. It boasts magnificent views and direct river access from this renovated house that stands a landmark in the Eastern Cape. With your own jetty you can moor your boat or just take a paddle upriver.
