Oudekloof farm lies a the foot of the historical Oudekloof pass. To reach the farm, you cross the Klein Berg river, creating a clear boundary between the pressures of city life and the splendid isolation of the farm. Arriving at the homestead, one gets a view not unlike the one that the early travellers saw as they came over the Obiqwa mountains. Separated from the village, perched high up on the mountainside, one feels at once a sense of peace and tranquillity where you can wander along the trails and farms roads undisturbed by schedules and routines. Just outside the door, adventure awaits ? challenging hiking and mountain bike trails criss-cross the valley. There is endless exploring to be done on the routes once used by brave travellers. If adventure is not on your ?to-do' list, visit the Oude stoor for wine tasting and local produce or book a tractor ride to take you up the mountain for breath taking scenes of the Tulbagh valley and Witzenberg mountains, and The Swartland. Come for a day, a weekend or longer to experience the magic of Oudekloof ? and create your own memories in this lovely, pristine ?first? valley. We offer a three bedroomed house with a private pool and five laborours cottages which were lovingly restored into self catering accommodation. All are fully equipped with towels, bedding and kitchen necessities. Every cottage has a portable braai and a ?stoep?with-a-view'. The laborours cottages are situated amongst fruit and nut trees and has a small herb and veggie garden where you can ?pick-what-you-need' and enjoy.
