OYSTER BAY LOGE BEWERTUNGEN (76 %) Excellent value by Anonymous, South Africa 04 March 2008 We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Oyster Bay. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we were overjoyed with the wonderful 5 course dinner in the evenings. Excellent value and beautifully served. Nothing was too much trouble including a special arrangement for my non-meat diet. The location is unforgettable and a perfect retreat for a few days. Do not worry about the track road that leads to the hotel.. its a jewel once you arrive. Recommended by Ronell Scheepers, South Africa 23 September 2008 My stay was far too short-would have loved to stay another few days!
The farm is lovely and the views fantastic-so much better than staying in a guest house in town.
Special compliments to the chef - the dinner was great! Lovely Place by Elke Frhmer, Germany 23 April 2011 A relaxing place to let your soul loose. Great horses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good food. We will come back.
Ein erholsamer Platz die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Tolle Pferde. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Betreuung. Sehr gutes Essen. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen. Rochelle Sauls, South Africa 12 December 2014 The nature surrounding the reserve is beautiful. Loved the sea and the dunes. Staff was friendly and helpful. The dirt road was long and bad. Lots of cows and we drove through cow dung and struggled afterwards to get it off. On all the directions it says that the dirt road stretches for 24km. It is actually over 30km. The food and beverage is extremely expensive. R12 for a small packet of Lays chips is a bit much. Because of all the cows, there are obviously lots of flies hovering around the kitchen. The one waiter told us a long story about chicken being cut open by the breastbone(sounded real rural and uncivilized), but we saw the frozen chicken breasts on the kitchen counter. I'm not sure if the story is entertainment for foreigners. We were also not informed that the cost of all the activities is additional. Overall I had a good experience, but I will not go so far again and pay so much for an average lodge. OYSTER BAY LOGE LAGE
