Lindsay CastleNoetzie, Western Cape, South Africa Selbstversorgung | (POA) |
The property is a large stone-built structure built on rock on the edge of the beach at Noetzie.
It has been built to resemble a medieval castle and is full of comfy, well-furnished rooms with beautiful views over the rocks and sea from its many shaped windows. The accommodation comprises 6 bedrooms; 3 bedrooms accessed from the main castle and 3 more via steps built against its outside walls. All bedrooms offer wonderful views of the beach and Indian Ocean. There is a shared kitchen and lounge in the castle available to all guests.
The main entrance opens into a large lounge / TV relaxing area with open fire.
There are no direct ?neighbours?, and the castle is very private and not looked-over. The views to the front are the beach and waves crashing against the rocky outcrops.
There are various stone steps leading down from the castle and gardens directly onto the beach ? which is pebbled directly below the castle rapidly becoming golden sand.
There is an outside braai area to the West on the seaside and a sheltered eating area complete with table and benches.
The castle sits within the Noetzie Conservancy - established in 1999.
What makes Noetzie so special? The castles of course ? but mostly "the golden beach surrounded by forested hills, the dark waters of the lagoon, the rugged, ochre rocks and the thundering breakers that roll in row upon row".
