Activities in the area include hiking, mountain climbing, horse riding, boating, trout fishing and golf. A more adventurous option is whitewater rafting on the Pungwe River, while fans of human history will find several noteworthy ancient ruins to explore.

Pine Tree Inn is well signposted, close to the hamlet of Juliasdale, and easily accessible from Rusape and Mutare; all roads are tar. The emphasis at Pine Tree Inn is on comfort, convenience and conviviality. Nestled in a forested valley, the inn has comfortably furnished rooms, all with en-suite facilities and most of them with a view across to the mountains of the Nyanga area.

Our stay was very enjoyable with very good service. The only problem was that the confirmation of the booking and payment of our deposit was only sent to me after we had stayed there.

We had a good time at Pine Tree, though we need to have a more for entertainment, pool table, swimming pool, dart board. television.

A wonderful place to stay when exploring Nyanga. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the service in the restaurant was excellent. I can thoroughly recommend Pine Tree Inn to anyone looking for a place to stay or just somewhere to enjoy a cream tea before or after climbing Susurumba.
