Situated in a magnificent secret valley on the slopes of the Slanghoek mountains, we offer three private and secluded self-catering wooden cabins overlooking the dam.Each log cabin features an open-plan kitchen and living area, two bedrooms with queen-size beds, and a loft area with two single beds. The cabins utilise gas, solar and battery power only, NO ELECTRICTY, and no open fires are permitted. A charcoal kettle braai is however provided on the verandah. Come appreciate and enjoy the silence and tranquillity of the Slanghoek Valley. PLEASE NOTE THAT VEHICLES WITH A HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO REACH THE CABINS.

PLATBOS LOG CABINS BEWERTUNGEN (95 %) Great by Stef Steiner, South Africa 10 August 2011 We spent a lovely weekend in this tranquil setting. The view over the dam and up to the mountains, some snow capped, was stunning. The finishes in the cabin are of high quality, the furnishings very comfortable. Best of all, the three cottages are spaced far apart so one has privacy and peace. We'll probably be back next year for a weekend. We didn't want to leave and will definitely return. The views by Jenna Oneill 04 February 2018 It was a beautiful cabin on the lake. The views were breathtaking and it was so nice and secluded. The bed was not the most comfortable- but I am a fussy sleeper. There was so shampoo - so remember to take your own. I am definitely going to return in winter. The "no electricity" was not a problem at all, as there were solar powered LED lights and two USB points to charges phones etc.
