Punda Milias is located only 15 minutes from Nakuru town. It is the ideal base to experience a true bush adventure. It is set in a private conservancy that is rich with wildlife, creating many game viewing opportunities

There are eight Bandas, four Luxury Safari Tents, a self-contained cottage, a Dormitory Tent and a Family Tent. Guests can also pitch their own tent on the large and green camping grounds. The Luxury Safari Tents and self-contained cottage have large private bathrooms. The rest of the accommodation share beautiful bathrooms with outdoor showers which have plenty of hot and cold water.

At Punda Milias Nakuru Camp, there is a lovely restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and a three-course evening meal. The cuisine mixes traditional Kenyan with international dishes and the menu changes regularly depending on freshness of ingredients available and the time of year.

The three of us had a good stay in a family tent. The camp is located outside of everything which is nice. To get there we took a matatu to the main road and then a bodaboda which is waaaay more cheaper than a taxi (the camp will book for you a taxi for KES 2'000 to nakuru!!). We also booked full board. That meant that you are served breakfast, lunch and dinner without water to drink. You can not choose what to eat, but as we were nearly the only guests we asked for vegeterian and local food, as they would serve us mainly non-african dishes. The guide for the lake nakuru park safari together with his car was booked through the camp. First they asked us if the guide should pick us up already at 6.30 which we found great. But then the evening before they said that it is too early and they already told the guide that he should be at the camp at 7. Okay we thought but the next morning he showed up at 6.15 and didnt know anything about the time change. So he had to wait until they served us breakfast. We paied for him USD 120 at the gate and also USD 60 for the park entry per person. It turned out that the guide was basicly just a driver. He didnt tell us a lot, only when we asked him directly. The camp provided us wirh lunch paks but didnt pack one for the driver which we then figured out was a common thing. We enjoyed the whole day in the park and gave him a tip in the end but he didnt even say thank you..
