Situated on the escarpment of the Amatola Range, in the Eastern Cape, among the rugged terrain of South African grassveld one can find Rexfield Farm.
The farmhouse dates back to 1890, but has recently been renovated without losing the old farm charm. The accommodation consists of a main house sleeping eight guests and a smaller cottage able to accommodate two guests. The house has three bedrooms and is able to accommodate six adults and two children under the age of three. Please note that the house is not able to accommodate eight adults.
The main bedroom has a double bed, electric blanket and a built-in fireplace. It has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower and guests have a view of the farm. Please note that no children are allowed in this room. The French Pink Room and The Dandelion Room have a double bed with an electric blanket and a heater. A camp cot can be provided for a child under three years old. Both the Pink Room and Dandelion Room make use of a guest bathroom which is fitted with a bath and shower for Rexfield guests.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with its own fireplace for those chilly, winter mornings. The lounge is an ideal spot to enjoy the evening in front of a fire and guests have access to a TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi. At Rexfield, for outdoor relaxation, there is the choice of a deck or undercover verandah where gas braai facilities are available.
Laundry facilities are available and a daily cleaning service at no extra charge is optional.
Rexfield guests can enjoy Stutterheim Town which attracts visitors with Amathole Forests, Fort Cunynghame Pass, Gubu Dam, Kologha Forest Reserve, and Wriggleswade Dam.
