Rhino Lodge is set at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, and is the ideal base from which to explore Ngorongoro Crater and its surroundings. This lodge was once the home of Ngorongoro's first conservator, and still maintains in its natural, rustic setting.

The lodge has 24 guest rooms, each with a veranda overlooking the montane forest. All rooms has its own private bathroom with a shower, toilet and hand basin and to keep warm, each room has a wood-burning stove. In the living area, guests can enjoy true African cuisine.

Game drives into the crater, and for the more adventurous, walking safaris in the forest reserve and visits to nearby Maasai villages, can all be arranged from the lodge.
