Situated at the foothills of the Nuveld Mountains in the Great Karoo, 80km west of Beaufort West and 60km north of Leeu Gamka, Rooiheuwel is a self-catering guest farm that serves as an oasis in the harsh Karoo landscape.

Here guests will be graced by a magnificent and authentic Karoo experience. The silence, tranquility, peace and open-starry sky at night is something special to experience.

Accommodation comprises of two fully equipped farmhouses, a fully equipped cottage, a mountain chalet, a farm shed for overnighting with an indoor fireplace, a stone shepherd's house in the veld and camping sites under the thorn trees with ablution facilities.

In addition to the farm's sheep and game there is also an exotic bird collection. The famous Karoo lamb and boerewors can be ordered for the duration of your stay or to take home. Firewood is available.
