Royal Zambezi Lodge is an intimate family-owned property situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, on the edge of the unique Lower Zambezi National Park and directly opposite Mana Pools in Zimbabwe.
The design of Royal Zambezi Lodge allows nature and the environment to play a leading role in ensuring the relaxed pace and magical experience enjoyed by guests. There are 10 Classic Suites and four Deluxe Suites at Royal Zambezi Lodge. The entry-level Classic Suites stand alone and are complete with shady verandahs and en-suite baths with flush toilets and large showers. The large canvas tents nestle under mature trees and are all positioned for the maximum enjoyment of the surrounding views and complete privacy. Natural tones, luxurious textures and comfortable armchairs create the perfect retreat after a morning game drive while extra-length sprung mattresses with pure cotton linen and feather pillows ensure a blissful night's sleep.
The Deluxe Suites are the epitome of the luxury safari experience. Two of the suites offer the same tented interior as the Classic Suites whilst also offering an outdoor bath, shower and plunge pool. A further two Deluxe Suites push luxury to an even higher level. These suites are not tented and due to a larger surface area they also have an indoor lounging area. They offer a sala overlooking the river in addition to a shower and copper roll-top bath, sunloungers and private plunge pools.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast overlooking the Lower Zambezi River where our team of expert chefs will prepare dishes to order, or simply whizz up a healthy smoothie. Lunch comes as gourmet picnics or as full outdoor buffets in the park. Dinner is served at private tables under the stars or by a roaring fire on a cooler night. Alternatively guests may relax in their rooms and have dinner brought to them on their private deck.
The location for Royal Zambezi Lodge was chosen particularly for the wide variety of activities available including game viewing, fishing, fly fishing, sunset river cruises, professionally guided canoeing trips, open vehicle guided drives, night drives, walking safaris, birding safaris and photographic safaris.
